The DAREBEE community a.k.a. "The Hive" is a place where everyone is accepted. Once you join, you are one of us and we'll have your back. Although we all live in different countries, come from different cultures and have different backgrounds, in The Hive, we all want the same thing: better quality of life. And we are all trying to take better care of ourselves. We don’t compete with each other and we don’t judge each person's circumstances – instead, we celebrate each others' achievements and cheer you on no matter how fit you currently are, how much and how often you exercise.
Here is a quick road map to get you started with the DAREBEE community:
Registration
The registration process is super quick and easy. Choose a nickname, register it and you are done. Now you can comment on other people's threads, start your own topic or create a workout log. You can fill in your profile and even change your username at any time, later on.
Introductions
You can start a new topic in the Chat Room and introduce yourself. Tell us a little bit about yourself, what training you are doing - or planning on doing, your hobbies and interests – whatever you feel comfortable sharing, along with any questions you might have. It’ll give you the opportunity to meet some of the members and us an opportunity to say "hi!" to you.
Since the Hive is truly global, it doesn’t matter whether English is your native language or how well you can express yourself. If we can understand you, it’s good enough for everyone here. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first day training or whether you have been exercising for the past 10 years either - within The Hive we are all equal.
Check-Ins
Every topic in the Check-In section is a journal and a training log. You can use it to track your workouts and programs, keep your thoughts organized or simply let others know how you are doing right now, physically and mentally. Sometimes it helps to simply write things down. And it also helps when there is someone out there to listen.
Starting one is easy: click "Post Thread" in the section, pick a cool name to give it and start typing. You don't have to check in daily either, you can do it once a week or even once a month. See how it goes and how much you are comfortable sharing. You will eventually find your own pace and rhythm. Still not sure? Read other people's journals for a bit to get the feel for it. You can also respond to posts by leaving a reaction "like", "support", "love", "hug" etc. Once you have your own journal, others will do it for you.
Help Desk
Our community is also our official support line. All training and “instructions unclear” questions are addressed there. You don’t need to worry about saying the wrong thing or making a mistake – there are no stupid questions in The Hive. And someone will always come to your aid when you have any questions or when you just need someone to point you in the right direction. All questions are welcome whether it’s a call for further explanation of materials published on the DAREBEE website or a specific problem. If you tell us a little bit about yourself, your goals and your circumstances we will help you pick the right program or a training plan that best fits your needs. Make sure you create a new topic and give us as much detail as possible and someone from the DAREBEE team or experienced members of our community will help.
Stay Informed & Talk to Us
We don’t have comments on the DAREBEE resource workouts or articles because we want to keep the information you're looking for clean and light, and as accessible as possible on all devices. So all the comments and discussions, in case you would like to be more informed and be more involved with what’s going on with DAREBEE, are happening in the community. We post news, developments, feature updates and future releases announcements in the News section and you get the chance to interact directly with the Darebee Team.
DAREBEE is a people’s project. We vote and discuss any major (and sometimes minor) changes to the resource. We are all responsible for this resource in many ways and everyone’s opinion matters here. That’s why we keep suggestions and feedback public. Something important will be easily picked up if it comes up repeatedly or if other DAREBEES boost it up or vote for the idea. If something requires further discussion, we bring it up again.
This is also where you can report bugs and typos or any other inconsistencies on the website. Report when something isn’t working or if there is a feature you would like us to implement or the type of topic you would like us to cover next. If you see a “like” from a DAREBEE team member on your proposal it means we have seen it and we will take it on board even if we didn’t respond to the thread (we are not always able to, due to pressure of time).
Should I join?
If you are using DAREBEE workouts on a regular basis it is generally a good idea to join the community simply because you can then ask any questions you have and get help from people who have already been through the programs and workouts you are doing. You don’t need to be part of the community unless you want to – we keep the help desk and support public like this so we can all learn from the questions and answers – and also provide support faster.
The DAREBEE community is not just about fitness, it is also a place where like-minded people meet, share their moments and have fun. There are no conditions or strings attached to any of this, it’s just a safe place where you can login and be surrounded by people who share your path. We all come from different cultures, we all have different backgrounds and yet we all come together in the forum to hang out.
You are more than welcome to join us and buzz along.
