This is a quick overview of the DAREBEE functionality to give you a general idea of how things work.
Progress Tracking
You can track your progress as you go through any of the programs or challenges and it is saved in your browser's memory. To mark a completed day of a program click on the white box next to it in the Program Index at the bottom of each program day’s page. For challenges, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the corresponding day under "Progress Tracking". The tracking is device specific so if you are using a tablet, your progress is saved in your tablet's memory. If you are using desktop, it is saved in your desktop memory and so on.
Timers and Sets
Every workout and program days include two additional panels: timer and sets.
Quick timers allow you to quickly pick rest time between sets which is usually 30 or 60 seconds or 2 minutes depending on how much rest time you need. If you switch to a custom timer (press “custom” in the timer panel) you can enter your own interval and use that instead.
Routines with timed exercises like HIIT workouts usually include pre-configured timers that take you through an entire set including rest time. You will hear a beep at the beginning of the workout and then every time you must move on to the next exercise in the sequence. Once the circuit is complete you will hear “Rest” and then “Done” at the end of it. Press “Repeat” to start the timer again. You control how many sets you do.
Each time you complete a set you have the option to mark it in the “Sets” panel right next to the timer.
Note: If you are using a mobile device we recommend that you increase the screen timeout time to prevent the screen from dimming and switching off while you are in the middle of a set.
The DAREBEE Community
Everyone is welcome in the DAREBEE community, the Hive. You can create an account there and participate in events, keep a training log or ask for help. Every member of the Hive has a profile that is only visible to other members. Your profile has its own features and it allows you to claim badges for completing programs or events and tell other darebees a little bit more about yourself. It is a community for everyone whether you are in the beginning of your fitness journey or already on your way towards your goals.
You don't have to do DAREBEE workouts to belong. Admittedly, it helps but you don't have to do any exercise to belong either. The DAREBEE resource is about finding the right level for you, finding the way to be happy with yourself, how you look and feel, and your life in general. How you do it, is up to you.
Hopefully this place can provide the tools you need or at least inspire you. If all you need is some support and encouragement, we will do that. This is a safe space and we are here to make your life just a little bit easier and your every day a little brighter. There are good places on the web. This is one of them.
